	Los Angeles Times, November 27, 2003 - Don is quoted: "...but veteran kitchen designer and chef Don Silvers is less enthusiastic about vintage models, preferring the modern design and technology of new stoves. He especially likes the power and layout of modern burners that on restaurant stoves can generate 15,000 BTUs. Thomas can adjust a burner on some vintage stoves to about 13,000 BTUs. “On the older stoves, the burners were too close together,” says Silvers. “They might be OK for two to four people, but beyond that you run intro trouble.” And one definite advantage of many modern stoves is that they are self-cleaning..."

Creative Ideas For Your Home Kitchens - Knapp Communications, 1984

The following review from the Library Journal: Reflecting the current notion that kitchens should be both efficient and commodious, this "workbook" is intended to aid the homeowner in making the kitchen the "great-room" of the house. Roughly two-thirds of the book covers basic elements of kitchen design and function, comparisons of available materials, options in cabinets and appliances, standard layouts and dimensions, etc., all of it in rather passing detail. For those needing inspiration, the rest of the book is a glossy tour of 22 sumptuous kitchens - virtually all professionally designed. Accompanying the lavish color photos are descriptions of how the designs meet unique sets of homeowner needs.
